Currently, the Cultural Brokers Network of Canada is the new name for the former CHW Network. The name was changed in order to foster a national movement of Cultural Brokers and to strengthen cultural brokering practices supporting immigrant and refugee communities in multiple sectors, including settlement, health and social services. In this first series of webinars, we are introducing different Community Health Workers (Cultural Brokers)' approaches and models, how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted service delivery and learn from the experiences and expertise of peers from across Canada. These webinars, which also address their work pre-pandemic and post- pandemic, help support capacity-building, professional development for community health workers, allies, and other professionals supporting immigrants and refugees anywhere.
